    Angry and the next problem...

    ...is, it's now jumping out of gear in 2nd- not all the time (obviously) but twice today, twice yesterday etc etc

    Any ideas chaps?

    Simple fix or new box req'd?

    It can be something like worn shifter bushings or it can be a internal problem,
    Mynes been doing it for over a year now but until i need to replace the clutch it doesnt bother me too much to remove the gear box for that reason alone.

    Thanks Pete- I'll check the shifter bushes first

    It also seems to have become a bit stiffer when shifting- could that be caused by bushes too?

    Normally when bushes go the shifting goes slack i hope its the bushings for you and will make a simple fix

    Pete, just ignore him. He's not used to having a gearbox with numbers, just ones labelled D N P R & this third pedal called the "clutch" really got him baffled lol

    on an outside shot it could possibly be the cables have gone stiff and not quite letting you engage gear fully all the time and then popping out when the drive is taken up.Maybe even an engine/gearbox mount gone allowing to much movement and popping it out of gear.Just some extra avenues to check.Hope this helps
