Cool, I need to get one anyway, this one of mine is starting to click, and I don't think it will be too impressed with 300+bhp going through it

I've read a few threads now, what are people's views/thoughts on getting a LSD diff? I rang Quaife today, they want £700 delivered

The car will have about 300whp, I'm thinking I might need something to help tame it.

The cheaper option is a M59 box if you can find one, i payed £200 with drive shafts it dyno'ed 269whp/456nm with a 16t, now have an 18t so hopefully a bit more power and the box seems fine but as always this is just my own experice's, but im not gentle with it either on the 1/4mile

I thought the M59 was a weaker 'box? But, then, how weak is it?

Let you know when it goes, but at the moment it hit's 1.4 bar in 3rd/4th and i have abused it on the strip but others may have had different experiances, but im more than happy with it.

Been up the garage again today, the engine is out, and the head is off

All 5 pistons are coated in oily carbon, its been burning something it shouldn't, next job is to strip the bottom end.

Also, what's the problem with the new from Volvo oil pumps?

Todays update, the engine is completely stripped, bores are all ok, hopefully it will get away with a glaze bust

Crank is good, with just a slight scuffing on the shells, going to put a new set it, from Volvo £170

One other question, are the main bearing bolts, the ones that go through the ladder frame, stretch bolts?

    I need some advice:

How much boost can a K24 produce? (maximum)

What actuator does it use? and can it be uprated?

How much boost pressure can a stock head gasket take?

I'm building my engine with H rods, forged pistons, ported head and piper cams, 3" intercooler, siemens injectors and TT ECU.

Is this a good setup? I can't afford to go for a Garrett just yet (Unless anybody has a spare good one )

Hey paul the standard head garskets are pretty good im sure russ and tim williams are using the standard ones.
As for the k24 it might be best to ask rnash or who ever else runs one im sure some one asked this a while ago and if i remember correctly it was s70 chris that gave the answer.
It deffinatly sounds a very good set up and should provide lots of power who are you having to tune your tt

I didn't see that one, thanks Pete

Its being tuned by the engine builder, he normally works on Mitsubishi Evo's, he is ex prodrive WRC mechanic too.

    The website is cr*p http://wbmotors.co.uk/
