It would have more potential than a 16t, probably equivalent to the 18 or 19t.

I think its impossible to rate it against the 16/18/19T as its a completely different turbo. I have to disagree slightly with Liam on this one as I actually think the T28 has more potential than any of the Mitsubishi/Volvo turbo's and I think smithy would agree.

Ill hunt out the website but I have seen someone accross the seas on another Volvo forum run almost 350bhp at the crank with one in an 850 and im affraid to say thats a damn site more than any 18/19T on here.
Arguing is pointless....she may not be right but she's never wrong

Tell her a remap is just having your satnav updated.....

Remember this is a t28 we are talking about here, this is the same turbo that comes as standard on the nissan200sx (s14), which my bro has had 2 of and (although i would have to ask him to be sure) the max power you get on them, without doing a fair bit of work on the engine is around the 300bhp mark......... which come to think of it is 103bhp more than standard, which if we were to get similar gains would put us at the 340bhp mark, which does seem to be more than what the 18/19t's make.
I still think that a 19t could get over 320bhp as wobbly is running 305@flywheel with his 19t on quite low boost.

Maybe i should be buying this turbo instead of an 18/19t, i will have to speak to my bro a bit more about s14s.

Smithy would be a big help here, as he was running his v70 with the t35 that james has now got. Do we know what power his v70 was making with the t35?

T28 Garret turbo will probably be more reliable than the Volvo turbos as well.

Spool lag might be higher though but would have thought intake change temp would be lower at equivelent pressure levels.
