I am thinking of replacing the flexi pipes on the intercooler as I've had one split, and I suspect I may have another one split too somewhere as I have the engine light come on the other night. I heard a pop and one of the intercooler pipes had blown off, but after reconnecting it and doing an ECU pull, the engine light is still on So I suspect I may have split another pipe somewhere.
I am handy enough with tools and everything to make it work, but I just wanna make sure I know what I'm doing.
On my '96 T5, the pipe from the top of the intercooler goes into the side of the engine, and the pipe from the bottom of the intercooler twists around goes up over the engine and down to the turbo.
Am I correct in thinking that to do the reverse flow, I just make the pipe from the top of the intercooler go over the top of the engine and to the turbo, and the pipe from the bottom of the intercooler go into the side of the engine?
Cheers
