ECM question

I have a V70 with a B5244T3 engine (code 58). I was thinking about a remap and got the idea that it might be nice to have one ECM with standard setup and another one with a remap.
I then got one with the same volvo no. as my own (8602253) together with VIN no. from a breaker.
However i then found out that the ECM is from a B5234T3 (code 53).
Is it possible to match this one to my car and then have the remapping done.

Why would you want to when the software can be loaded and reloaded into the ECM at will?

I am no expert - I don't do modified - but it is my understanding that ECMs are individually programmed to vehicles - everything else seems to be . . .

I think it is RICA that gives you a switchable map but I am sure people far better qualified will be along shortly
