Another Northern meet later in the year?

As you may all recall the last northern meet @ the Stretton Fox went down really well all bar the venue.

Well after having talks with the brewey they have offered us another pub which will be more than happy to accomodate us and look after us. The pub is the Walton Fox @ Bamber Bridge, Lancashire.

Does anyone want to give this company another try? Or organise another Northern meet later in the year (September/October maybe?) with a different brewery altogether?

I think the location/setting is more a factor than any brewery chain but if it sounds ok why not.

You have location - bamber bridge, Lancs

EDIT: Full address is The Walton Fox, Lostock Lane, Bamber Bridge, Preston, Lancashire, PR5 6BZ 01772 323364

I found this in a review guide - sounds promising:
    ================================================== ========
Description: There's nowhere better to mix business with pleasure. At the Walton Fox you can easily sandwich a great meal into a lunch hour. Generous portions of mouth watering favourites all accompanied by fast friendly service, mean this inn is the ideal place to eat with clients or colleagues.

The Walton Fox is also an ideal choice for business people who like to do busines in informal surroundings.

Road Directions: Situated on the A6 Lostock Lane.

Not quite as exciting as Matt's revelation!! Just something a little more family friendly in a lovely location (I'd post the link up but I have lost it )

Possible Other Location : Wentworth Castle, Barnsley, as seen on BBC2 Restoration Programme, also scene of where i took my pics yesterday.
Stately home in 500 acres of countryside and parks, it has a bar on site and restaurant(subsidised as its an adult college), great for photos and no landlords hassling us to move on, country pub also 5min walk through the grounds if you like, so no parking issues. Still looking at finer details for now but it's a nice location, 2 miles from M1 J37, handy for Trans Pennine roads, some lovely country roads around to test your Ricas ...

    Hope this interactive link works.

Rough mileages to it as follows :

    Birmingham - 100
    Manchester - 32
    Newcastle - 105
    London - 175
    Cardiff - 200
    Hull - 65
    My house - 1 lol..

I actually am slightly against the venue being selfish as i like to go for the drive too but i guess i could take you the twisty roads local if the venue suits most people.

I'm gonna see the guy at Wortley Hall next Wednesday to outline wot we want, ie no hassle after we spent £500 over his counter, and hopefully cone us a plot off, they do have classic car shows there thru the summer too and theres nice roads around too if any 1 fancies a blast.
The other venue i'm ringing again tomoz, i keep missing the lady i need to chat too. Do you have a date in mind exactly ? Sept 18th or 25th ? I think they are Sundays. Let me know.

Anytime in September, would be a good time to sell a pile of FIREWORKS to like minded T5 nuts. Plug plug plug......

We have the big meet at the Volvo training centre on the 23rd September so earlier or later than that by a week would be handy.
