Not sure what bulbs for an 850 but go for 6000Ks. Nice crisp white with a hint of blue and very good IMO.

As fitted to all my V70s

won't they be too bright for dipped beam? i'm going to get another set of HID's for the full beam, might get 4300k for them which i've heard are brighter than the 6000k's but very blue

They do make my main beams useless, but I can live with that

Arse about face. The higher the temperature the more blue the light. 4300k is closer to daylight, 6000K is white with hint of blue, 8000K is blue/purple.

I bought my Hids from hids-direct, cost £70, and have had no problems so far. I got the 50w H1 kit. There's a bit of messing to do to fit them though, I had to bend the bulb clips a bit as the hid bulbs have a thicker base plate, and the wiring has to be routed somewhere. I removed the headlights from the car and fitted the bulbs in the warmth of my living room.

I got the 5000k bulbs on mine, so just on white but without the slight blue tint.

Lee i went for the 6k, 55w kit in mine............

    Before........

    After..............

Also some Led sidelight bulbs as they looked very dull compared to the hid kit ................

You can see how bright they are compared to the fog lights

Now though i want the fog lights as bright, i think im gonna have to stump up for another hid kit in H3 form this time
