    Talking cold start misfire-SORTED!!!:)

Hi all, as some of you are aware i've been moaning about my 01 ex plod V70
T5 banging away on cold start up, well i've sorted it finally!! ditched the code reader and went back to basics, so i did a compression test and found no.4 cylinder wheezing out 10psi couldn't believe it! so off came the head and i was losing a touch of water as the gasket had a tiny nik in it but 6 exhaust valves and 1 inlet were badly seated( poured brake cleaner in the ports!) to see it weeping through closed valves! so out they came, seats ok so ground em back in and then renewed all my seals and gasket and bingo no misfire anymore i'm sure i was told by some of you folks on here that code readers only show you the right avenue NOT always the ACTUAL cause of a problem, so hopefully things will run better and it should be abit more nippy

Yeah, a code reader is a diagnostic tool, nothing else. Good that it's sorted!
