    Heater Matrix Again

My heater matrix has gone again. Second one in last year.

Put new one in 9 months and 25,000 miles ago.

Does anyone else's keep going like this.

I noticed it after car getting very hot on regular basis in last few weeks standing in traffic queues. I think the extra heat and pressure is blowing it.

Ive taken it out again and sure enough leak all over passenger footwell and looks like solidified fluid on heater matrix elements. Only a bit though, not as bad as last time. And it keeps loosing fluid, needs topping up. When heater put on, nasty smudgy steaming up happens.

There goes another £125 +VAT for new one from Euro Car Parts. Volvo wanted best part of £250.

Maybe its cheap matrixes that keeps doing it?

Hope the quality of ECP parts isn't suspect as I have been there and invested in a new Condensor and Receiver/Dryer today.

Looks like it's a case of the Matrix Reloaded.

Sorry couldn't resist that I know exactly how you feel at having to spend money on something that you have already replaced. Been there myself, hope it is second time lucky.
