V70 T5 Geartronic box

Talking with a colleague of mine today, he runs a 02 reg T5 wagon with geartronic box, and apparently he has been told by his local dealer that his box is shot. He has been quoted £2.5k for a new box plus another £2k to fit it! Anybody know of any specialists in the Dunstable / Aylesbury area that may be able to help him out? He reckons the issue is from 3rd to 4th and has been told it is down to burnt g/box oil, although the dealer has flushed it through with no effect. Any info I can pass onto him may put a smile back on his face
