    remapped ecu??

    hi hi,

got me a 850 t5 as a daily run around, the guy i bought it off told me it has been remapped...

i didnt belive him as he said it was 389bhp an ran 13bar...lol

seen a remapped ecu up for grabs but the numbers differ...

    mine is 0 261 200 501

    an the remapped one is 0 261 203 852

also mine has 9.2 on the top of it an the other one has 6.2

will these be ok to swop over or not?

    cheers

    Thumbs up

hello and welcome to the forum, first of all no offence intended but i would be wary of the claimed 389bhp tbh i would be surprised if it's even 289. but i could be wrong.
13bar = 288 psi so would be more like 1.3 bar.
i'm not clued up on the ecu codes but hopefully someone will be along that does.
any pics of the said run around?

    cheers

i no when he said 389bhp an 13bar in my head i had already wet myself crying with laughter...

as said its just a daily for me, my toy is a mk2 golf gti with a 1.8 20v turbo lump from a leon cupra r which is mated to a audi TT haldex 4wd system, soon to be 330+bhp when the engines run in an ive bolted the new turbo to it...

i needed to buy a tow vehicle to pull my missus horse trailer but i have a heavy right foot which i like using so enter the T5 haha...

only payed 500notes for it with tax n test, 202k still pulls like a train though an sounds ace with a panel filter an drilled box...

    very smooth ride too...

yup ill get some up in 2min...

Yeah, a common problem on the 850s. Done mine a few times now.

i will try and pm you the video of my mates today, it's faster than my volvo but not by much. (same power/less weight).

If you're not too far away, there's a meet at york raceway on 30th of may, Feel free to drop by even if you're not going down the strip. Should be a good day if the weathers anything like last year.
