& it does on an 850, the manifold needs boring out a bit but not exactly a hard job

    a) yes

    b) you get about 30% more air/fuel mixture flowing into the inlet manifold, so yeh, I suppose, if you want faster acceleration

    c) buy the gasket from a volvo dealer for £2 ish, and with a 10mm spanner, it should take ten mins to swap over. (4 bolts, and the pipe that simthness is selling with it, which has a jubilee clip each end, a 7mm socket will do for the jubilee clips)

If I'm being honest, it's only worthwhile if you're gonna be racing/dragging, as in normal driving situations, the throttle becomes an on/off switch with that TB fitted, which is why I swapped back to the standard for normal day-to-day use...

Cheers guys. Although i may be able to do the (very) basic stuff, boring out the manifold would be beyond me.

its very easy with a flap sander mate, my local car accessory shop had the perfect size for £5 & took less than 10minutes. I didn't even bother taking my manifold off just blocked it with tissue so the dust didn't go down the ports. I wasn't trying to scare anyone off from buying it, just letting you know what needs doing (it is a very worthwhile mod)
