Question On Mrs Flatout thinking C70 - what to get and what to avoid.

Mrs Flatout has taken a fancy to a C70 2.0 T. Now I have to confess that I know little of what I should be looking for other than the usual 850/V70 issues, but what should she expect for about £6k? She likes autos but her main consideration is that it is blue or that nice champagne colour:

Ideas welcomed - this could be a way to get Mrs FP into the weird world that is ours!
    KISS Rs

850R manual, Rica 310, IKEA fitted bathroom, H&C running water, Jetex 2.5", pipe rack, cap stand, Forge BOV, circular wheels with full 360 degree rotation, 302mm discs, IPD front and rear anti-roll bars, numerous shiny features, sub-atomic particle accelerator, VTOL capability ...Volvo With Attitude!!!
Also to be seen in a gold Honda CR-V these days...

Need to be aware of the lack of boot space and the skuttle shake. I'd also go for a 2003 or later so that you get the nicer lights and grill.

Think you can pay less than 6K

    nice GT here...

Bootspace is very odd on the C70 - but no worse than on her Golf cabrio. She piles it full of school admin stuff (she's a head-teacher - you thought you had it bad: when I'm in trouble, I'm IN TROUBLE!) and uses the 850 for the shopping expeditions...

I've wanted a 635 since I was a kid, but she'll get a T5 for that money. Theres a 2000 C70 soft top 2.0T auto sitting for sale in my mechanics yard 6 months MOT for £1600 Think my Mums having that though.

As the T5 came to a lonesome end

Its just the V70 2.5 10 valve SE, pictured here with the 2 people that make life worth living, my babies.

Only thing I can say about the C70 (after test driving a few for the missus) is that the non T5 models seem to have significantly softer suspension, and are a little more wallowy.

    These were coupes though.
    '96 855 T5 CD - standard, for now
