t5 speedo

i have a 1995 850 gle(manual) t5 and my speedo reads 150mph but i was at read veiw volvo today and i was taking bits off a ex police 850 (auto)t5.but the speedo on that one was 160 mph,why is is some t5`s have the differences on the speedos?im new to volvo`s as ive come from vw`s.cheers dave

good question, my t5r has 160 (never had it there though) but i have been in a t5r saloon with 150 ??

mines a estate.and the one saw today at read view volvo (breaking)was also a estate(ex police).i asked them but they couldnt explain the way they had different speedos.also i would like to add read view volvo was very helpfull with my problems with my 850 t5,cheers adam and guys

I believe later models of the 850 had 160mph speedometers. I think it changed from 1996 MY onwards.
