Thumbs up Latest purchase 850 T5...

Hello, I usually haunt the S40 area with my 2001 T4, however this is the latest steed to join the pack.
Anybody know of the car? It's from the Bracknell area.

Anyone offer any pointers to check on the new motor? I know the cambelt was done 20k ago - so thats a relief. Is this orange colour rare, can't say I've seen many in this colour, infact what is the colour namewise? Here's a few pics:

Autumn Gold ~ Sounds cheesey! Either way keep me posted please. Do you know how many errr Autumn Gold T5's are out there? My Panama yellow T4 is 1 of 324 registered in the UK (yes I know I'm sad, but hey it's info direct from Volvo Uk!)

    Question

Another point that was raised on 'my' engine bay was it looks to have a fuel pressure regulator added to the fuel rail. Any thoughts or comment guys please?? Heres the pic:

its a FSE fuel regulator, you can adjust the fuel pressure to increase the fuelling for modifications & is whats called a rising rate regulator so the fuel pressure increases with revs/load

i've got one for my new engine

Could this hint at potential mods elsewhere e.g. chipped etc or would a regulator be put in to iron out running issues? More a tuning tool rather than maintenance mod??
    Cheers for the info, Mark

i'd say it was defo put on for tuning, can't say i've ever known of issues with the standard regulator. The ECU is in the plastic box behind the drivers headlight, slide the clip across the top & pull the ECU out & see if the metal tabs on the casing have been bent or tampered with (may even have a sticker on it saying if its been remapped). Your exhaust isn't standard & i notice you've also got a poly top mount so someones done a few mods

That car looks like its sat on stilts...weird.

Also the coolant reservoir looks like it died long ago.

Make sure it isn't oil making it that colour...

Whats the mileage as a matter of interest?
