i have removed the bottom half of the airbox, and adapted the original air duct to feed straight into the cone filter. i have not got round to finding or making a heatshield but nor have i noticed any "heat soak".

nor me . My fastest quarter mile time was done with a open cone filter, & that was sitting in the fire-up lane before doing the run which is when it should of affected it the most

drilled holes in my bonnet, and monitor air intake temp.

my temp will drop from 50c to just above outside temp within a mile of driving.

if you cut out the corrugated flex section out of the intake pipe just before the turbo & replace it with a metal joining pipe it moves the top corner further back so got more room for the filter canister, plus it gets corrugated section causes turbulence disturbing the air flow

this is the one now on Cally's T-5
