Drivers door doesnt unlock with the fob, but does with the key.

    As title really.

If I unlock with the fob the passenger unlocks, but not the drivers door.
    Works fine with the key.

Usually Id tear it open and have a look, but looking at the door card I dont want to do that more than once LOL.

    Cheers guys.

I have this with our 850. At times she will only open with the key and then it sets the alarm off until the key goes in the ignition. I found that if I keep the battery charged up it doesn't happen.

Changed my ignition lock and subsequently I have to have 2 sets - so I don't bother carrying the door keys. I use the fob only.

Similar thing happened on my 940, turned out to be the battery in the fob. Why it would only lock and not unlock is anyones guess but that sorted it

    ,.,

    what model car is yours...
if its a v70 there is threads re the locking doors etc on these.
    relays in the n/s/r panel.
if not then at a guess id say solonoid in drivers door,
they do lock & not unlock & vica versa if they go faulty.

On a C70? From memory, you have to remove everything, including the complete window casette (whole assembly comes out of the top of the door, glass, runners, cables etc in one piece) from the door before you can take the lock motor out.

Think you should mate, as i don't want to brag but i'm an expert at changing windows in c70 lol, had 5 motors break on me.

This is the last thing you want to take out and " try " and reallign.

I just got my driver's window sorted after a year without it moving, took me 6 and half hours.

Like i say, avoid at all cost lol

Tis ever so slightly annoying though, I shall put up with it for now!

    Cheers
