I used to do this, but after my usual annual aircon regass, decided to leave it on permanently. I have seen little increase in MPG and more to the point, the air con is still working properly now the weather is warmer.

Why do so many members call themselves after Badgers?

Am I the only one who gets happier the lower my MPG goes? Dont get me wrong Im not enjoying the cost of expensive fuel, but my car is at its most fun when its getting less than 10 mpg. Surely you would choose a D5 instead of a T5 otherwise. Am I on my own here?

Nahh, I'm just the same! I'm looking at buying a daily runner with an awesome MPG to allow me to keep the miles off the T5 & save money on my travel!

Looking at a Smart as they get 60mpg+ and cost £30 in tax per year!

    T5 mpg

    I am with you straight5

    I have always loved performance cars (first new car 1966 MKII 3.8 Jag followed by Porche's x2, XJR, 3x Cosworths, M3, M5, AMG'sx 2 tried a Range Rover once, Lotus Carlton stolen broke my heart Volvos 960, V90, 850T5, T5R, V70 P1 T5 V70 P2 T5) to get one that's practical as well, Bonus!
I brought my T5's because of the smiles per gallon factor while still being able to load the dogs, guns, fishing gear and golf clubs in the back (not all at once mind)
Also being able to drive from the South to the North and not get out of the car walking like C3PO (try an E55)
By a happy coincidence they have also been amongst the cheapest to keep on the road.
So all 3 we still own are Rica tuned and I get many more smiles per gallon than miles for sure but wouldn't have it any other way
