Can anyone tell me whether the ECUs are coded to the car or whether any 'r' or other ECU might fit with the same part number? Assuming the worst, that they're coded, where's the cheapest place to get another one coded from?

Thanked 528 Times in 448 PostsAs far as I know the ecu's are not coded. I have a 96 T5 850 and I know for certain that that isn't and on a 97 V70 it should be the same as I don't think that's even ME7 (fly by wire, blue badge on front)
