Hello. What's your car... I mean... yes it's an S40... but what year / engine / blah?

And equally importantly... what do you want from it? Not such a stupid question as it might sound, I hope.

So what do you wanna do & how much money do you want to spend? Stage 0 tune up is a start. Then look at a remap.

Do you mean you'd like a stage 1 or something similar?

Never bought S/C as I heard they weren't very good. Nearest and best tuner for you would be RT Mechanics, I think

    Smile T4 Mods - Done

If you're looking at performance i.e. engine upgrades, then before you go down remap road, I'd do other mods if you are planning, in order that any remap will reflect those.

Best mod IMO, is to remove cat and replace with 100 cell race job. Even if you do nothing else, you will notice the difference. I've also removed the centre box and other expansion box (no change in noise or exhaust note). I'm toying with the idea of removing the rear box and replacing with straight pipe also, but not done that as yet....

I've got a K and N fitted and a customer fabricated alloy heatshield, as well as a forge motorsport dumpvalve and blanking plate. You may read elsewhere that the T4 does not like a dumpvalve and that it will suffer lag and run badly. Mine has not missed a beat since fitting, though nor has mine run like a bag of spanners if I have to put 95RON fuel in when the local garages run out of 97 or better (again). Others seem to have had problems, I have not to date.

After that, remap. And make sure that when you take it to be remapped, you are running higher RON fuel to yield the maximum potential!

    Best of luck and enjoy!

    Good Mods...

strut brace, remap, K&N intake, 3" sports downpipe, steel cat back (spoil yourself - go for a straight through custom pipe) and sports springs.

Stick with the classic areas to begin with - then get funky with some specialist engineering when you get bored of the car in a mild state of tune (and you will... mu ha ha)

RT Mechanics seem to have an immense reputation accross all the forums - I'd get work from them if they weren't so far away...

Haha so basic mods first as always then, sounds cool, I mean its a fast car anyway, doesn't take long at all to hit top speed obviously done on a legal drag strip ; ) but yeah I will get some of this done
