    940 2.3 LPT Lambda light

    Hi all, I have a 1995 940 2.3 LPT Estate.

Last night when driving, the car suddenly lost power as if it were out of fuel.

I put some fuel in and it re-started ok, then I noticed that the lambda warning light had come on.

Does this have to be reset, and if so, how?

The car seems to be running fine.

How certain are you that you weren't actually out of fuel?

The Lambda light is just telling you that the fuel / air mixture has gone beyond an accept range so could be any number of things - might be worth getting the fault codes read and check the condition of your spark plugs if you get chance? They might indicate a fuelling problem.
