Poss Dyno Day @Bhptuner, Leeds

Hi All,

Thinkin of organising another Dyno Day at my Bro-in-laws place soon, the last one was great, and was really good to meet fellow members/Volvo owners and "talk shop".

Would need a min of 10 cars, and prob could get 2/3 runs for about £35 quid.
Also the dyno cell has new and improved cooling and airflow now.

we can get a list going and a date sorted if you i get the interest.

Dont think i'll be able to attend this one, im saving for York.

Just out of interest, when i did my run last time the intake temp was 27'C.

What would the figure be adjusted by if it was a lower temp, just roughly obviously, maybe 5 - 10bhp or more ?

hope your ok, and your car is well!

Right then, avarage ambient temp, in the dyno cell is currently around 8 degrees, as for your intake temp, i would hope it would be no more than about 15 degree at the mo. but there is a hell of a lot than can effect that, are you running a std. intercooler?
As for the gains, well your prob about right with your guess, but that is only a rough guess, dont quote me on that.

Using my car as a test bed, we have seen gains of 11.7bhp at the fly with the improved cooling, but i have a massive FMIC fitted, with reverse flow piping, if this helps ya!

Why not coincide it with the York trip, make a weekend of it

That way the people that are travelling a long way for york may be interested in a slight diversion to the quality RR the boys have down there

think that may be a bit much lee, as people may have spent up/be knackered and wanna go home, and/or have damaged car/problems.

but not ruling it out, will have to get an available date from garage yet anyway, so cant confirm yet.
will speak to them this weekend and sort a date.

doubt it would be a good idea to have them on the same weekend as stated above also last year not one person had one problem with there cars its just like the risk every one takes putting there cars on the rollers or hammering there cars everyday

Not suggesting in any way that there would be problems with any cars, i am sure all would be ok, but i know, i wunt be right keen to have a dyno thrash and a dragstrip hammering all in the same weekend!

Anyway, looks like it wont be happening, not enough interest, which is a shame, cos we do them quite often now and there really good, did a vauxhall D Day last week, and it was great, some cool cars!

If anyone wants to do one tho, give me a nudge and ill sort it out.
