    windscreen and roof problems

Hello again people, I have a slight problem, nothing major I don't think.

I have just had my windscreen replaced having driven it around for the last six months with the mother of all cracks in it.

Autoglass came to my place of work and replaced the screen. The engineer told me that the where the glass had cracked it had bad surface rust underneath, he later told me that all across under the top of the windscreen was rusted. Has anyone else had this problem, you can't see anything at all its all under the screen.

I am worried that I will need to take the screen out again and rub it all down and clear the rust.

What do I do, leave it or do it?

    Thanks again people

never heard of this happening before, the car must have had a duff seal for a long time,if theres a new seal on it i shouldnt think it would get any worse, maybe wait until the windscreen needs replacing again then do it.hope that is of some help

well the engineer told me that the windscreen had been done before, he thought that the guy who stripped the old bonding agent off had scratched the paint, never primed it before refitting hence the rust now.

I think your right though, leave it until the screen is out again next time
    thanks dude
