I think his actuator needs fighting up he is on low boost 1.1 bar in second and 1.3 bar in 3rd 1.1 bar is too low boost for that turbo.dont forget he is using actuator pressure only .

My map doesn't control the boost ATM. I will see if I can get better control by tightening the actuator. Had some bad news about my contract on Friday. Suddenly buying Blitz SBC doesn't seem so important.

After 5 years on this contract the Germans want to reduce my hours from 40 to 32 (effectively a 20% rate cut) or face the chop at the start of July. Bit out of the blue TBH. All contracts come to an end. Guess I am back on the hunt again - at least it is not a dead stop. Time to move on.

A lot of instability around at the minute mate, hopefully you'll get something sorted quickly. I think my place will lose its current contract by the end of the year, early next year at the latest.

Remember, if theres nothing you can do about it, then theres no point in worrying. Just get a plan together, in case it does go tits up.

My plan as it has been for the last 8 years of contracting is feel the fear and do it anyway. Worst case is I have to take less money for a while, which means all the bills are paid, food on the table but very little spare for projects. Even so it gives me time to find a new contract.

So with that in mind, I've bought the blitz SBC regardless.

I am an IT database administrator/consultant on MS SQL Server. I've been working contract for the last 8 years - 5 of which have been on this gig with a small Dutch outfit you may have heard of

. Actually it's a bit more complicated as I am contracted into the outsourcing branch of Deutsche Telecom - T-Systems (you may have heard of T-Mobile?) supporting Shell.

Previous engagements include Crawfords Insurance, Toyota Financial Services & JLR.

I specialise in tuning & performance - global escalation point for high severity problems and general go-to-guy when de stront aan de kikker to use the Dutch venacular.

Today all the affected contractors in NL had a meeting with management - it appears nothing is changing after all. It's been miscommunicated - p$$ing a lot of people off - but it looks like my hours are safe after all? There's yet more to be finalised but I think it looks like it'll be ok after all.
