Finally got my recirc pipe work back (many thanks to Graeme) - got it plumbed in - works really well. No more irratic idle on closed throttle.

32mm branch welded on at 45 degrees. I felt this would help with the recirc as it push air toward the turbo.

Few shots of the installation with the wire re-enforced AST silicon.

    Roll on Tuesday.

ASNU recommended a Bosch 300lph pump - so I'll probably go with that.

probably not. it seems a bit wierd when running partial throttle. I tried 3/4 throttle and fuel map seemed to be huntin/hesitant. I don't need to worry yet as I have no idea what AFR it runs yet. Patience is not my strong point.

Thing is - I don't see how having a permanent AFR gauge will help me - as I cannot change the map. Lot of money to spend just admire the figures.

Bad news today was the sump plug is still weeping oil. We noticed this on the first oil change - someone re-tapped it but slightly on the pi$$. I've nipped it up as hard as I dare - but it's still weeping a bit. I have a spare sump, which can be swapped off the old engine - but I am wondering it PTFE tape may be easier?

But surely one of the advantages of having an afr gauge is that if there is an issue with your afrs then you'll know about it.
