The gain on my controller was set right down to zero - so this explains why the torque was lower than expected. I put a new powerflex lower torque mount on the transmission. I also noticed that the inner CV on the short half shaft had decided to empty all the grease onto the subframe - which is less than ideal.

I think I'd like to keep the torque as low as you can, to much torque low down ruins gearboxes and drive shafts, I seem to remember I had a really flat torque curve and only 365lb ft, but 434bhp.

The pin hole in the inner CV boot is fixed. There was a minor oil weep from the oil return which I have tweaked today.

However I am feeling a bit frustrated. One of the main issues was running too much boost in low gear which caused detonation and a loss of power at 5K rpm from a standing start.
I have managed to figure out how to program the boost map across the 4 available channels in the Blitz SBC i-color. I was trying to set it so that it would stay lower until a certain speed is reached to prevent the knock back I was experiencing from a standing start. So I set channel 1 to run 1.4 bar and channel 2 as 1.6 bar above 40 mph. Each section is about 12.5 mph. I tested each channel individually and the boost it makes is pretty spot on. So then I set the whole thing up to run under the MAP mode & it just doesn't do what it promised. Both channels in map mode only make about 1.1 bar, in stark contrast to what they do when individually selected. This is really annoying because as far as I can tell the only difference is the mode that the SBC is running in.

I don't really understand why the ignition timing gets pulled back so much around 5K and why this boost cut/fuel cut occurs above a certain pressure. Is this just the nature of the P80 beast or is this more about the mapping.

You can see the map mode in this video - https://youtu.be/HOM5SIDuGeY?t=128
