I think you will be giving the fast 850's some hassle on the drag strip WD. Will it be mapped before york?

Hoping it'll be ready for avon. Next week we'll run her again. Bought my ASNU 650cc injectors today. Put those & the 300LPH fuel pump in - see what we've got & go from there.

Progress today has been successful if not a little slow. The Bosch 300lph pump is too big to go inside the tank. So I am mounting in the boot space. The other thing you can see is the inline pre-pump filter we installed.

ASNU injectors are in. Car runs fine (a little lumpy as it is overfuelling a bit). Tomorrow I am going to tidy up the install and start mapping.

TBH I am disappointed that the new pump didn't fit into the tank, but it is the pump that ASNU recommended for their injectors. I am also amazed by how small the original pump is.

I am still in 2 minds - on one hand the bosch 044 is a proven 300lph pump in motorsport circles. On the downside - having it outside means the whine is audible (though I may not hear it in the cabin), you can knock it and plumbing it in has been more difficult. And can I find a 60mm P clamp in a shop? Can I like thump.

I am going to mount it inside a junction box I bought. I may hide it behind the carpet wall yet.

Stick it inside an amp/sub box? (obviously not with an amp in there with it lol)

Or make a feature of it with chrome and neons

I used to go down there regularly to what the trials, and now I know you're running we'll be down this year, don't ecpect a decent time though, there's literally no grip.

Are you allowed to mount it outside ?
I'm sure it will be safe but with the whine etc maybe a custom housing of some kind.

Older cars did have them outside like how the filters are mounted on these volvos... i had a little old mk1 golf gti that had an external pump fitted under the back, it used to make it feel like i was waking the car up and bringing it to life when ever i turned the key lol i thought it was kinda cool

Dave, why not fit an in-tank pump? Petrol pump in the boot space is madness - I'm up for some risk but that is completely uneccesary. The deatschwerks pump is good for >300 lph and will fit in the stock pot. The Bosch pump could be mounted outside the cabin.

Post pump filters are underneath the car near the o/s wheel arch.

It's not madness - it's just a bit more complex that I wanted. Currently I will have to mount the pre-filter & pump in the boot space.

That's the pump I'm fitting to the 940
