Just as well, because I'm sure that one member on here would have suggested you change the whole breaking system, just to be on the safe side.

The V70 (mk1) had an access hole through the rear hubs (throught the wheel bolt holes) to re-tension the hand brake shoes.

I'm sure someone could confirm this?

But it is an alternative if you're out of adjustment on the cable.

no badger those S80 estates are totally different mate you need a decquadroheganol star torx flat phillips tool to adjust them, but make sure you first replace

    1, abs ecu
    2, brake master cylinder
    3, abs pump
    4, brake servo
5, all break pipes front to back and all flexi`s
6, front discs pads and calipers
7, rear discs pads and calipers

    oh

    8, load biase valve
    9, brake fluid
    10, brake pedal switch
    11,brake pedal assembly
    12, brake pedal rubber
    13, right shoe
    14, righ foot
    15, right leg

that should cover it i think but please feel free to read through just in case i have missed owt

    Hi all

I confirm this to be true, on the phase 1 S/V70's... the phase 2's adjust from inside the car... the handbrake suround need to be clipped to adjust.

But it is an alternative if you're out of adjustment on the cable.
