not rubbishing anyone but it sounds like the info has come from RICA? if so, hardly unbiased.
I don't think they were bullsh*tting about the maps being identical, but as I said, I'm not sure what you can conclude by that.
Still running on the dyno... now with bigger injectors.

yep, certainly wasn't implying that you were lying and apologies if it came across like that, just saying i'd probably take it with a pinch of salt.
good luck with it. do you have any say in what you want? would be interested in what they do with regards throttle vs boost.

75 miles on the dyno and a third of a tank of fuel later...
...we learn that the limit of the turbo on this engine is 276 bhp and 413 NM of torque. Compare with stock of 200 bhp / 300 NM, and RICA's standard ECU upgrade of 235 bhp / 345 NM. I'm happy!
This setup was always going to be a compromise on the power figures in exchange for driveability (If I'd wanted all-out power, I'd have stuck with the GT3076R) so the headline numbers aren't that important. What IS important to me is the fuelling, which is now good across the range, and the torque, which is frankly ridiculous from a 1.9 litre block!
Haven't had a good chance to drive it yet, but I'm sure it'll be fun!
Huge Thank You to the RICA guys who spent pretty much all day getting it right.
I can also now say that I have had owned cars with an MTE map, an SW Autos map, a BSR map, and a RICA map... and they've all been good

Can you give us some idea of cost Al? I have RICA on my D5 but there is no one out there AFAIK custom tuning them, I'm thinking this may be an option...
Thanks
Andy
Have you got an afr plot Al?

No - I only took away plots of the style you see above. However we did overlay AFR on the graphs as we were mapping, to spot where we needed to add fuel. End result required larger injectors (I went with 750ccs, which I happened to have and gives me a lot of spare capacity!) and was very satisfactory.

Three findings from my 50-mile road test:
- Pulls like a train. Wooo, wooo!
- Pops and bangs on overrun like a good-un.
- I estimate that MPG is up 15-20% for equivalent driving. Good news.

that's some torque from that wee little engine... well done that man, that's a superb result.....

Just for interest (been doing some comparison surfing tonight) the car is hitting peak power about 1k rpm lower down the range than some of the bigger power-conversions... so that should mean that the power is much more accessible. That peak power is, of course, lower as the turbo is correspondingly smaller (to spool faster). Track time will tell which is faster in the real world, of course!
