205's?? thought they were all 225's??

When i had my 17's on, they were 225/45/17

IIRC 215/45/17's - Thats what I ended up with on mine after checking around a few places. I'm on my 3rd set of Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD 3's - Normally £320 - 350 for the set fitted and balanced and they are bloody great!!

Also make sure the load rating of the tyre is up to the job! An AWD with five up and a suitcase or two will exceed the loading of 87W tyres!
Laser Blue 2000MY V70R (Phase 3) awd, Rica 330, 04 C70 front, Goodridge Hoses - Now up for Sale as of 15th April 2013 - pm me for info.

To clarify, £320-350 was for a set of 'four' - I thought that was pretty reasonable for them.

I agree on this one. Although I am currently running a set of Hankook Ventus Prime that came a freebie with some spare rims and I have to say they are really impressive - and I am Mr Original Brand Only when it comes to tyres and so on. Good in the dry, good in the wet, good on corners and they hang on well to the 250 horses and then some from the tune.
    KISS Rs
