    I think Jim could beat that if he drives like he did yesterday on the hillclimb .the car is dam quick off the mark now with the diff he has .it surprised me

    Well spent a little time dissecting Jimbobs last gearbox to find ( as expected ) two planet gears ejected completely from the diff unit, cracking stuff you could say...






    All looks pretty good inside, at this stage



    This doesn't look quite right





    Bad diff vs Good diff, as you'll see the 2 small planet gears are totally ejected from the box bar a couple of remnants




    the few remaining bits of the planet gears


    quite impressive the destructive power of the torque in your car changing from 2nd to 3rd on the strip, luckily for me the part I require is intact and will reconstruct my oil-less 10v box and YES I WILL PUT OIL IN IT THIS TIME......LOL

    Currently - '96 850R auto

    Previously - '97 S70 T5 manual, '98 V70R AWD auto, '98 V70R Auto in Nautic Blue Mica with LPG (went to Germany!), 1996 850R Auto, lots of various 940s, 960s and a crappy 850 2.0

    As you can see in the pic's there are only 3 small remnants of the planet gears found inside the box, some had fallen one during removal and handing no doubt, part of them whistled past Jimbobs door mirror as he tried to push on in 3rd, by all accounts......lol

    Old shaft far from it's best,





    All seems good again abs light off so something must be.right,

    While I was at it thought I'd fit the new koni adjustables on the rear set to 3/4 max



    Should firm up the rear a.touch hopefully
