Nice one James looking fairly "normal" under there again. Bad luck with the non starting, are you still getting fuel? If not maybe fuel injector relay fault?

    Yep.

This effing car always throw's an electricl fault everytime the block's been in and out and they are bloody hard to trace, last time it was a loose realy up under the steering wheel, time before that it was the crank sendor plug connection but on the loom side so no matter how many different sensor's i tried they did'nt work cut the plug off the loom and connected a different one and fired 1st time, these faults were solved by a very talented auto elec mate of mine not me lol but the gits abroad somewhere at the moment.

A quick update, still waiting for my auto elec mate and a code reader to appear so i thought i would have another play and see if anything come's up, changed the crank sensor for another one i had lying around(4th one ive tried)but still nothing, so shut the garage door and on my way out lent through the window just for one last try and left it cranking for about 10secs and the bitch fired up, i nearly ££££ myself with shock lol, left it running for about a min they shut if off and had a quick check around the bay and under and all looked good so went to start it again and no start..bitch, left it a while crankrd again and it fired after about 10secs of cranking again??? left it running for a while and all seems good a bit noisey but it is a new engine so i hope everything quieten's down.

Wont start again now so could i really have 4 duff crank sensor's?

Oh that sounds more positive mate. Glad she's fired up and run now! If they were all 2nd hand crank sensors then it's quite possible they were all shagged...

Very interesting that James, out of interest have you removed the HT lead and looked for a spark again, Im wondering if there is a "delayed" spark somehow?

Well i bit the bullet and forked out £30 for a new crank sensor.....still the same, starts when the ££££ing bitch feels like it, twice out of 20 tries left it running for 10mins on one of the starts then gave up, seriously considering dropping the whole front end into the saffy might be quicker

Edit got 4 crank sensor's for sale lol.
