ECU numbers what do they mean......

Numbers on my ECU are :

    5.3
    P3545864
    ITVI046341
    T94470017
    CP08

What they mean I do not know......

What number is all important that says dual climate , auto etc.

Which one is serial number (not important) and will my car screw up if I put the wrong ecu in my car? I.E. a manual or non-aircon one in my car or will it just show a fault?

    Bump anyone?

Where is the Bosch ECU number on the ECU itself? I can't seem to see it?

    See table for compatibilities http://www.turbo-tuner.co.uk/ttusb-compatible.htm

See attached for location of bosch ecu number.

Have you sold your remapped ecu?

No and nor will I until I know I have a compatible one to put back in.

I didn't see the Bosch Part Number on mine but will have a look tonight again, as I only cracked the lid of the housing of the ECU to have a look. I will check again tonight. I was hoping that these numbers might be identifiable.

    Cheers

Also when removing the ECU, is it advisable to disconnect the battery or does it not matter?

Just removed them both and no bosch numbers, now what?

Sounds odd that there is no bosch number on the ecu. Maybe rufe can identify the ecu with the other numbers that you posted at the top of the thread?

You say it has been rica'd, do you know if the garage that remapped the car worked on the original ecu? Or could the original ecu have been swapped for a remapped ecu?

    Ed

P.S. i think you are not supposed to remove the ecu from car within 3 minutes of switching engine off. No need to disconnect battery though.
