yep £300 for a pair of rears and fronts.

there sent from germany so i MIGHT have to pay vat and duty but then again i MIGHT not.

they'll come in well under £400 if the worst happens so is it a good deal?

ok, the ebay guys replied to the email for a group buy and he can offer a pair of front and a pair of rear monroe reflex shocks for £270 all in, its all new gear sent to us direct from monroe - he must have contacts.

the cost does not include any duty or vat charges that MIGHT be incurred so keep that in mind. i estimate that if you are hit by customs it'll push the price upto around £325.

the prices he's given me are for a set of monroes that'll fit a '98 s70 (e4499 & e1042) but he has said prices for other models won't be to disimilar.

so if anyones interested let me have your car details and i'll see what i can do, we need atleast 5 people to do this.

So the question is to Adam or Hamish at VT are these the shockers you recommend, if they are can you do them at the £325 supplied price to save us all the hassle, fitting extra or optional of course. Thanks.

As far as I am aware if it is from the EC and the prices include their vat, you dont pay any extra VAT and no Duty.

I was under the impression that with eibach springs too that VT charge around £800 fitted, given the springs are £180 ish i would say they are not the same shockers that we are talking about then. I read before that the fronts alone are £150 each. It would be easier if such as Dave850r whos had it done could clarify the exact name of the shox etc... It sounds too good a deal to be true lol.

it is monroe reflex shocks that vt fit, i'm 100% sure as adam was the one that quoted me £450 fitted.

it's eibach springs that they use too, i'm in the process of sorting out some prices on these too, but it looks to be around £120 at the moment.

that good news on the customs side of things only means the deal is even sweater!!!

bad news on the eibach springs i'm afraid, although the they are only £120, the bloke charges £100 shipping from the US which means they can be had cheaper from here in the uk, try http://www.eibachshop.com.

oh well, if anyone want the monroes let me know otherwise i'm ordering mine near the end of the month.

VT have a variety of shocks - Koni adjustables, Sachs (OEM) and Monroe. I love the monroes - they are great value for money. I have also fitted the eibach lowering springs - which maintained the lowered look on the 850R.

ordered the monroes a week ago and got them today, they only cost £320 all in, delivered to me from germany.

they are exactly the same ones vt would use if i had them do there famed suspension upgrade on my car and they wanted £470 for them.

all i need now is the eibachs that i'll be getting from kalmar union for £180 all in, great price as everywhere else wanted around £210 including pvo and vt.

the monroe blokes ebay shop can be found here: http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Guensticar-...toreviewQQtZkm

he's a crout but is ok with english, seems very trustworthy and honest.

btw in my research into getting the best price for monroes i found that the second best place to buy them is sw autos who will supply a complete set for £375 all in, just in case you don't want to risk ebay.
