Driving home tonight, my instrument illum went out! Then came back on, and then went off again.... Didnt seem to be "bumps" related, just seems to have a mind of its own.......
Anyone else had this prob, going to have to wait till the weekend to have a look

850 Dashboard/Instrument illumination???

Current mods :ZTRONS cd/dvd touchscreen headunit, Clear side repeaters, Zenon effect headlamp bulbs, Equus turbo boost guage, Front strut brace, R-SPEC MBC, NGK Iridium 10 plugs, 40mm lowered springs, Powerflow 3' stainless steel cat back exhaust ending in a 4' outwardly rolled tailpipe

Thanked 9 Times in 9 PostsThis is an ignition barrel thing if I remember right. Slight wear causes a loss in connection on the multiswitch attached at the back.
Scrappage.....love it!!

Thanked 419 Times in 308 PostsSounds like you have a short somewhere. if it was only 1 bulb doing it. id say it was a lose bulb in its holder but if teh whole lot age doing it.. sounds like maybe you have a short somewhere. Or maybe some water has got into the wiring somewhere causing it to bridge and short out....

Thanked 2,222 Times in 1,791 PostsDoes sound like it's either a knackered ignition switch or a faulty dimmer switch, next time it does it try turning the key back just a fraction, failing that give the dimmer a wiggle.
