tapping from the engine

hi there im new to the forum soi hope someone can help me. i ve a tapping sound coming from the engine when the car warms up, its not there when the engine is cold and the performace is not affected so does anyone now what it might be please ps i ve chaned the oil and put an engine cleaner in still no change many thanks ged

hi there welcome to the forums
my car has a slight tapping noise at cold which is a slightly sticky lifter , as these engines have hydraulic lifters they can become a bit dirty and sticky with age .
mine seems to go quiet when warmed up .
sounds the other way for you though with no noise when cold ..
there are plenty of guys on here who im sure can give point you in the right direction to getting this sorted
