Question Anyone fitted Hid's into angel eye headlights

Hi trying to find out if anyone on here has fitted hid's into the angel eye headlights, i seem to remember someone saying that the light units
could not take the extra heat. I have fitted some gas discharge look bulbs as the ones that came with the lights look very yellow in colour when they were on, but these ones (gas discharge look) give off very poor light. I am sure someone on here will have fitted hid's into these lights. I just want to be sure i am not going to melt them.

AFAIK HID's give off less heat than normal bulbs.
