    Wink A busy saturday ahead for me in the workshop!

    So its fast approaching the dreaded MOT test time....... With workshop space at the ready, this sat i am going to.........

    1. Replace both lower arms
    2. Replace both top strut mounts
    3. Replace both front drop links
    4. Replace top engine mounting bush
    5. Fit 850R springs all round
    6. Service the engine
    7. Adjust the exhaust tailpipe position
    8. Wash and wax
    9. Collapse in a huge heap
    10. Drink Beer..............

    Phew!

    Current mods :ZTRONS cd/dvd touchscreen headunit, Clear side repeaters, Zenon effect headlamp bulbs, Equus turbo boost guage, Front strut brace, R-SPEC MBC, NGK Iridium 10 plugs, 40mm lowered springs, Powerflow 3' stainless steel cat back exhaust ending in a 4' outwardly rolled tailpipe ("Volvo's....... Theyre boxy, but theyre good")

    Shouldn't be too hard a job, as long as you can get the bloody ball joints apart!

    Sounds like your going to have a fun saturday, not sure if your fitting gen arms or copy ones if you are fitting copy ones don't forget to get new bolts to fit them also don't forget your metal roller top mounts just in case

    Ive just done the lower arms, easy job

    I couldnt afford genuine so i got from Nordic, see how long they last

    Top mounts next, got the lower ones just need to buy the uppers then its game on


    1998 C70 T5 GT Auto, 68k, FVSH, Immaculate inside and out, only mod - poly top mount, its Yellow and no pete i didnt paint it, lol

    I also have a busy weekend ahead in the garage.

    We're taking the engine out of the ZX, ready for it's winter rebuild.

    With luck I'll have her finished by christmas, I'm buying some very nice parts for her...

    All will be revealed on my own thread....

    Well...... an eventfull day! The lower arms i got were wrong! Parts place said the 4 bolt fixing type arms would fit and are listed for the turbo model, but mine are 2 bolt type (non turbo!!!!) so i lost about an hour going to get the right ones oh and £136 later there done!
    rest of the job went well..... although i think the 850R springs i got from fleabay i think were actually normal 850 ones as its made sod all difference to the ride
    any suggestions as to a good quality lowered set? bilstiene? spax? etc etc etc???

    Yeah, the 4 bolt ones are used on the Diesels, police, R and AWD volvos.
