Wiper Blades

My current wiper blades on the S60 are rubbish, they literally make things worse by smearing water all over the window. Can anyone recommend some decent wiper blades? Thanks.

Get the new blades but make sure your windows are clean, do you put your car through a car wash ever?

The ones I purchased from v70torslanda have been brilliant, smear free, silent operation, been fitted since Feb 09 and still as good as new.

Sounds like the glass needs a proper clean too. I recommend Brasso.

go these myself and they work like a treat. Had the same smearing problems as you describe, if you look at your old blads the rubber may be split or perished slightly where it meets the plastic part of the blade (small slits in rubber).

Anyway, got these aero ones and no smearing, just a crystal clear screen. And they look better than standard blades!

Firstly...

Don't forget I sell genuine parts, and sell those shown in the link a lot cheaper than ebay. on there they are selling them for £28.00 plus £2.00 postage - I sell these for £26.00 all in, delivered.

Dont automatically assume ebay sellers will be cheaper for genuine parts.


Secondly...

These wont fit the cars the seller has listed them for. They will only fit 2005 models and newer, (some exceptions) basically only suitable for cars with aero blades already. You can get them to fit if you also change the arms, but at about £30.00 each arm its not the cheapest way of doing it, as there are competitor makes out there with fitments making it easy to put aero style blades on to your car. Dont ask me more than that though, see links above.


Finally...

If you do want genuine volvo wipers please ask me for a price, as i sell cheaper than pretty much anywhere else, when your comparing me with genuine volvo parts. I would only be able to sell you the ones like you have now, same price, £26.00 all in, delivered (UK)

Rufes prices and service for genuine parts are second to none, highly recommended.

I think what Simon, (Rufe) is saying is, that you need the arms to hold them already on the car,

They are a different fitment from standard and you would have to change the arms which he stated were about £30 each to hold the Aero Wipers.

If you dont want to change the arms you could always fit these

I have the 850 ones on my car and they are brilliant, silent operation, and they clear brilliantly with no smearing.

They might be cheap @ £10.94 but they are very well made and do the job brill, i have no complaints with them, and the delivery was 2 days.

Yes, got those too (from V70 Torslanda). Best blades Ive ever had.
