no offence but i'd say your plate will be worth more than the car in this market.

Yeah I would agree with you about the plate. I don't want to split the plate up from the car just sell it as a whole, so I am just trying to get a feel for a fair price on it.

Private plates will very rarely affect the overall price of the car I'm afraid. There are also a lot of over inflated valuations on private plates and what one person thinks is a great plate others may not so I wouldn't assume that the private plate will make a whole lot of diifference to the sale

The good points are that someone has 7 months free motoring with the tax and MOT so that might help your price.

Totally agree - when I bought my 850R it had a sort of cherished plate (P850***) but I wouldn't have given him £5 extra for it. Best bet is to accept the aggro and split the car/plate and sell them separately.

To get an idea of the plates value stick something similar to it in one of the cherished plate websites and see what they want for it - then take off 50% as thats more likely to be what you'd get for it sadly. Its only worth what someone is willing to pay for it, and everything is flat at the moment
    Currently - '96 850R auto

    Previously - '97 S70 T5 manual, '98 V70R AWD auto, '98 V70R Auto in Nautic Blue Mica with LPG (went to Germany!), 1996 850R Auto, lots of various 940s, 960s and a crappy 850 2.0
