What do you want to know ?
I know a fair amount - ask something specific?
Alastair
Are they worth it if you do the servicing yourself?
Do they work with all 850 T5's (including 850R/T5R) aswell as all phase 1 and 2 V70's?
No they do not work with all 850s. Usually only 97 on which is when OBDII became standard.
Andrew
as I understand it OBD was put on 95 cars on but was not fully compliant with the OBD requirements until later. (97 as Andrew says)
Does this help?

What do you want to use it on?

Hi Splatt - I've tried various OBDII interfaces to the T-5R... you had any luck? thanks for the link I'll take a look.
ok so according to the link if you have a Turbo 850 your out of luck - it's not OBDII compliant if you have a standard non-turbo 850 then it is OBDII compliant.
So question is - are readers available for the turbo models using whatever protocol it uses? does anyone know the protocol ?
Andrew.
I bought one of theese interface things on the off chance....nicely made.
reads sensor data but not fault/diagnostic codes.
Am using it on a laptop with a PCI rs serial connector which I read somewhere could be the prob. (error of no connectivity)
Am still to test on a desktop.
Having said that, am aware that mu OBD socket is not fully up to it,
I heard that to get the error codes you can use an LED and resistor but am still trying to find the relevant web details of that..

Same here - couldn't get any data from my connection.
Now looking for other solutions.

Think most of it has been answered, did notice in the advert that it works from '97 onwards, Blackbeast asked the questions ie. self-service! Was also looking for a good excuse to get a laptop.
