    Knocking help

    I have an awful knock coming from the rear n/s of the 850 its pissing me off now could this be the rear shock??? Had a good look cant find anything untoward or loose

    stabilzer link you might not see it being loose but if you take it off the joint will be very loose

    first have a look at the top mount where the top of the shocker comes through in the boot

    Cheers pete i am thinking its more along the lines of that. Traced some shocks from euro parts. £35 each will have to get it done going down to avon sunday

    Might be top mount as said, I've had these go on my last cars - sounds terrible but was easy to fix (20 min job) and cheap.
    Not a '97 V70 T-5 CD Auto, Black, Black leather anymore..
    replaced a Mercedes S202 C220 Cdi diseasal Now scrapped!! (best place for it, it was crap!)

    No mate wednesday fitted the dump valve thou lol Ahhh just pulled all my carpet back from rear arch cant find top of my shock am i doing something wrong

    Problem solved today, just waiting for my bloody top engine mount which was supposed to arrive today next day delivery typical Royal mail!!!!

    Top Poly mount make a nice change in cabin noise, more of a low grumble


    1998 C70 T5 GT Auto, 68k, FVSH, Immaculate inside and out, only mod - poly top mount, its Yellow and no pete i didnt paint it, lol

    Top mounts are great, I had a problem getting mine in the hole as it were.
    I had to take it to a friends workshop where he but it in a Press.
    once its there it'll never let you down,
    word is there are lower front polly mounts about,
