    Any ideas what this is

This looks like one of those small in line fuel filters. It lives behind the fuel filter and has something inside that rattles like crazy. I need to know what it is to order a replacement.

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like a pressure regulator buddy but never had any dealings with them on the 850.....

Doubt thats a pressure reg, looks like a 1 way valve to me, maybe even a vapour trap?

Is there a fuel return pipe to the tank? I had one on my previous diesel truck.

Thanks for your responses so far.

    Its the rollover valve.

I guess it stops any backflow through the pipes if the car rolls over thus preventing fuel leakage. So I guess it is supposed to rattle.

If not, the part no. is there, just PM Rufe.

Top man, thanks. Do I need it or can I just do away with it because the rattle is driving me nuts?

It won't do anything to the system if you bypass it, as its just a rollover valve, but it is there for a reason.
