window procedure

am i correct in thinking there is a reset procedure for the windows on the p2.
some sort of reset .if so does anyone know the procedure.
foot on the brake,door open,flash the main beam etc lol.

a mate fitted a window motor in his p2 but the window only goes down,then it goes up but opens again on its own,then you shut it & it wont open,unless you unplug the switch then it opens once.then it wont go down to the bottom etc....
anyone know of a procedure.....cheers

- Close all of the doors and bonnet.
- Key in position II engine not running.
- Hold both the driver window and passenger window switches in the driver door panel in the closed or up position for 5 to 8 seconds after the windows are closed.
- Release buttons.
- Remove the ignition key.
- Operated the remote twice. lock/unlock lock/unlock.
