    Question Abs q..

The old bus has had very, very little use this last few months due to extreme poverty. Does about a mile a day. Last couple of days when almost stopped, the abs is kicking in. Something telling me n/s/f is where the problem lies......Dirty sensor?

Tape lol. I tried throwing some dog worming tablets at the screen today but it didn't seem to work............ strange it worked with my rottie when I had her. Just so we don't totally destroy your thread. The ABS thing, had a problem in an old Granada I had it was actually the discs were causing it. I also heard a sticking pad can do the same thing.

Really? Mine has a sticky caliper on the o/s/f which I have to free off from time to time but has been ok for a while. Even when it was binding,it never tripped the abs though. Will have a shuffty.......By the way,you sh*t them out after a few weeks and can swallow them again if you're looking for rapid weight loss. Worms, that is....not ABS sensors..

Ah, never knew that, thanks might give that a go lol. Yeah I've been told that about the ABS. Apparently if its sticking and you apply your brake the sensor to that brake reports back to the module that extra pressure has been applied and it applys the cadence braking system. You may have to replace the pads, its like anything on a car its a case of trial and error. See if freeing it up helps. There is also the whole question on wht the pad is sticking? faulty caliper? If so it could be that!!!!
