    Injectors and plugs

    Hi All.

My 1998 R has the white injectors, are these standard for the car?

Also i have a strange thing happening with my spark plugs, 1 & 2 slowly undue themselves, they are torqued up properly when they are replaced but after a few months have loosened to the point that they suck and blow when the engine is cold. Not loose enough so that you could remove with your fingers but definately a turn or two.

    I had a similar issue with a 850 T5 and also on a BMW straight 6.

    Anybody had any similar issues?

    Thanks

    Steve

    White's are correct.

Do the plugs have the crush washers on them? And if so, are they "crushed" properly?

thanks for the info, yes crush washers are there and ok, i always fit the plugs on a cold engine also and it has happened when it was garage serviced so i am sure my torque wrench is not the prob.

This is the third straight engine i have had that does this, V engines i have owned have never done it???

didn't think you were supposed to 'torque' plugs up, just finger tight then 1/4 of a turn.
