    Clutch

I am about to change the clutch om my 2001 V70 LPT due to a leaking slavecylinder.
Is it possible to fit the T5 clutch (the engine is B5244T3).
Any feedback about clutch change are more than welcomed.
    Cheers

    Hi John
The problem is i live in Denmark and i have joined this forum to learn more
about this car. There are no such tech forum here.

These cars are so new here that there are no advice to get anywhere because no one service these cars themselves.
I also have a 1990 240 B230FX on which i have done for may years now all the repair myself.
As prev. the engine is a B5344T3 LPT and the box is a M56L.
I can send you the chassis no. if that will help.
    Thanks for reply
    Cheers

    Hi Ivor.

I've just checked our electronic catalogue and your clutch in the B5244T3 is identical to the clutch used in the T5 (B5234T3).

Same clutch, same flywheel (dual mass) and same concentric slave cylinder/release bearing.

If you are considering uprating or re-mapping the engine then the clutch is capable of handling all but the most extreme of power outputs.

I'm not sure what you mean but the clutch brand original equipment would be LUK. Sachs or Valeo would be an acceptable substitute as indeed would be anything from the ZF - Zeppelin Fahrwerk - Group.

If you are asking for access to the company's electronic catalogue, I'm sorry but it's a confidential system with restricted access. If you need an online cataloguing system then a good system to subscribe to in Europe is TecDoc.

    Hope this is some help

    Hi Michael,

At FRF Volvo we can supply a genuine Volvo clutch kit (clutch cover, pressure plate and concentric slave cylinder) to you in Denmark for £300.00 delivered by DHL. The slave cylinder is a large part of this cost, and of course delivery is also a factor in this price, but if you are interested in ordering please send me a pm or message me at frfvolvoparts@gmail.com

    Hi Simon
Thank you so much for your offer. However i had to buy one frm the local
(st)d.ealer, because i had to get the car ready.
If i need any major parts in future i will send you an e-mail.
It is very funny: Im closer to sweden than you but parts are much more expensive here.
    Cheers
    Michael
