Finally, I've reached what could well be the end of the modifying the engine route that I started back in March.
I've brought this car to the point where, to do anything else would require a remap, and engine internals, both of which are expensive enough on their own, never mind together. Add into this equation the Fairlady Z I've just got hold of, which needs new turbos anyway, and you can see for yourself, that this is a sensible place to stop.
So far this year, I've fitted the 19T turbo & downpipe, with a cat-back stainless exhaust, V70R exhaust manifold, RIP kit with 3" stainless pipes, volvo 960 throttle housing, K&N panel air filter, 850 R clutch, adjustable FSE power boost valve, and a manual boost controller. I took her for a dyno before the exhaust, filter and FSE valve were done, and got 291bhp with a slipping clutch.
I'm gonna be totally gutted if I don't go through the 300 bhp mark.
