RICA Tune...

Would these be the best for the money, giving the 310 remap? I am up in the Northwest, and have a RICA place up here somewhere close, i'm sure - just dont want to look into it, if there is a better option out there.

They're the RICA 280 or 304 as far as I know; you can choose which one you want.
Works very well on my V70

edit* I take it yours is a later model then?

You may want to consider Rica PPC too. I have one. It is good. It makes my car go faster.

ME7?........PPC would be the way to go buddy,although it's expensive. Bonus is that you have purchased the software and is yours to keep.....ie if Volvo do a software upgrade at the stealer,you can re-download what you have purchased. Your choice really.

HLM do well priced maps for ME7 - though it is best to ring to find out.

MTE also do maps for the ME7 though I think you'd have to ask Dom Norchi @ Kalmar Union for prices.

I don't think there is a lot in it TBH.

I've got the rica ppc on mine. Had it posted out to me £517 all in. Prices fluctuate a bit due to the exchange rate. Got mine from Russ at R.T.Mechanics.

Me too. Good customer service as you do not under any circumstances want to be dealing with RICA directly. RICA themselves = Excellent product/Very bad customer service.

Best done through a dealer like Russ.

Well i think RICA ppc is the way forward then, very interesting review thanks Chris, i just hope i dont have any issues with it when i get it. Seems very strange and confusing that they, like you say have same version numbers etc??

I was talking to Hamish on Friday and he has just taken delivery of new software from Sweden for ME7 and later.

Apparently it runs of a standard laptop, rather than a PPC unit - contains diagnostics/fault code reading too.

Worth a chat a least I would say??

I got my RICA PPC for my D5 from Russ @ RT too.

I can only Echo the statements above. Great customer service, any questions you have, Russ is happy to help.

i have various phone calls with Russ throughout - top bloke and a great service. Shame they're based so far south from us northern folks.
