Just out of interest, what engine work has been done over this mileage, if any ? Do you know the history ?
upto 140,000 she was standard, then she had an MBC fitted, and set at 10psi, I bought her at 182,000 and did all my bits to her at 197,000.
She's got full history, dunno about any engine repairs that've ben done over her life, I aint read through all the history, just a general scan read....

Right. I was thinking along the lines of any new valves/cams/bearings/pistons/rings etc that it might have done. But no doubt using the correct/good quality oil and proper servicing and maintenance these engines can do this mileage with no issues whatsoever...
I am at 152k and the car is super smooth.
The MOT tester even said a while back that the engine was in rude health due to the low readings of some gas or other.
Its just amazing how these cars soldier on.

There was a chap selling an S80 on the bay recently with 450K and it looked like new. It's only a pup mate.
So, mine being up to 93k at the moment should have plenty of life in her yet. I must say, she's really sweet at the moment...
